Many around Texas is talking about this ‘dumb’ legislation

It’s ironic that during the first term of B.H. Obama, whenever the administration faced Murphy’s Law when it came to the economy, it was always blamed on the Bush Tax cuts. The general sentiment should now be, ‘one good term, deserves another.’

Forced to sign his own piece of ‘dumb’ legislation, and that’s in his own words, many around Texas is talking about this ‘dumb’ legislation. Speculation on the effects of this ‘dumb’ piece of legislation have many Texans, fit to be tied.

The talking point for the past two or three weeks has been all about sequestration, but now it should be all about ‘Obama’s spending cuts,’ which effectively put an end to the era of blaming former President Bush’s administration.

The Federal Aviation Administration is speculating about the impact of ‘Obama’s spending cuts’ on air traffic control, ‘furloughs coupled with potential retirements would significantly affect areas such as New York, Atlanta and Houston. Austin is not without some speculations either. There’s speculation Austin-Bergstrom International Airport ‘could lose a federally employed air traffic controller at a time of night when there are generally no commercial flights.

Speculation have it, unemployed Texans will not see any cuts to the ‘initial 26 weeks of benefits, which are funded by a state payroll tax on employers,' but on the national level, that’s a different story. According to the Texas Workforce Commission, ‘approximately 87,000 Texans will see their unemployment compensation benefits drop as much as $44 a week beginning next week as a result of federal sequestration.'

Half of ‘Obama’s spending cuts’ will be felt by the defense department and as such, ‘cuts to Army bases, like Fort Hood in Central Texas, could cost the state’s economy more than $2 billion.’

The economy has never been one of Obama’s strong points and as such, many have speculated he’s a failure on the economic stage. One ‘dumb’ piece of legislation after another has crippled the economy for quite some time now, but this ‘dumb’ piece of legislation is different.

This dumb piece of legislation, from the beginning, was Obama’s idea, in which case, finally, after four years of blaming his economic failures on the Bush’s administration, the Obama administration is finally held accountable.
