Early Friday, Manuel Arts trying to lock down the Saints at home. The Toilers coming off a huge 50-7 win last Friday against West Adams Prep were determined to protect home field. While, the Saints coming off a loss from last Friday look to get back in the win column this week.
The Saints running up the score early, showing off that last week’s loss should have never happened. Saints quarterback Fabian Villegas connects with Qu’ali Thomas early who takes it to the house for a 30-yard touchdown pass. The Saints would go on to score many more points to make it 28-0 at the half.
Lock would receive the ball to open the second half. Saints Chad Washington would lose the ball on the opening kick but would quickly find it and off he went. He would weave past defenders; break tackles in an impressive kick return to the 20-yard line. His return would set up another touchdown for the Saints making it 34-0.
The ball just was not flying the Toilers way as they get crushed 48-14 at home against the Saints. The Saints improve to 5-2 overall and the Toilers become 4-3 overall. The Saints next week play Dorsey a tough opponent in their league. If Fabian Villegas and company can play the way they did Friday then it will be a close game.
