The band has reformed with original lead singer/guitarist/ Dan Wetmore to perform at the upcoming LA based Thrasho De Mayo concert this year.
The lineup will be original singer/guitarist Dan Wetmore, original guitarist Jeff Potts, original bassist Ben Mottsman, and Warbringer/ ex-Hexen drummer Carlos Cruz. It appears Adam Haritan willl not be taking part in this reunion.Dan Wetmore left the band at the end of Summer 2009 to focus on becoming a photographer. Things are very preliminary, but perhaps new wave thrashers and metalheads will once again be able to take a glimpse of them and the words the future kings of American metal may echo again. I was very privileged to catch 3 concerts with Dan Wetmore's version of Mantic Ritual and am very excited about this. No word yet on any East Coast dates or new song material to be released, but I haven't been this excited about Mantic Ritual since I first discovered them on the Farmingdale NY Long Island Destruction concert 4 years ago.
Mantic Ritual were signed to Nuclear Blast Records and flew out to Germany to record their album Executioner with Andy Classen producing, mastering, and engineering their album. They appeared on tours with Destruction, Pro-Pain, Rotting Christ, Krisiun, Cauldron, Enforcer, and 3 Inches of Blood.
Details are still early on whether this will be a full fledged reunion or a one off show. Time will tell, likely after the Thrasho De Mayo concert.
