The Bible calls Christians to care for widows and be rich in good works toward others. Mansfield Bible Church is doing that through their Mansfield United program.
On Saturday, April 24, teams of volunteers will be going out to the homes of widows and others in need all across the city of Mansfield to show the love of God in practical ways through repairs, cleaning up, and helping out.
"...I tell you the truth, whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers of mine, you did for me." Matthew 25:40 (NIV)
"Take care of any widow who has no one else to care for her." 1 Timothy 5:3 (NLT)
"They are to do good, to be rich in good works, to be generous and ready to share, thus storing up treasure for themselves as a good foundation for the future, so that they may take hold of that which is truly life." 1 Timothy 6:18-19 (ESV)
God has given each of us skills and resources for the benefit others to His glory. Volunteers will donate their time, skills, equipment, prayer, materials, or money to reach out into the community and show the love of Christ in action.
