September 12, 2011: Manny Ramirez is in trouble again with the law as TMZ.com noted today. This time, it is related to a violent altercation with his wife. Apparently an eye witness saw him being hand-cuffed and taken away in a police vehicle. This is just another sad example of a high-profile figure involved in a serious, abusive domestic dispute. We have seen Mel Gibson, Nicolas Cage, and Charlie Sheen accused of violence in the world of Tinseltown. Women need to be aware of the signs and get help before it is too late.
USA Today noted:
Ramirez, who hit 555 home runs in a 19-year career spent mostly with the Cleveland Indians and the Boston Red Sox, began the season with the Tampa Bay Rays and batted .059 in five games before retiring after being informed he had failed an MLB-administered drug test. Report: Manny Ramirez arrested after domestic dispute
