A report from Yahoo Philippines this morning, July 16, 2014 confirmed that the eight division world champion Manny PacMan Pacquiao agreed to fight the undefeated American, Chris Algieri. Algieri, who is fresh from his successful campaign in the welterweight division against the hard hitting Russian fighter Ruslan Provodnikov is undefeated in his 20 fights.

Yahoo reported that Algieri will receive US$1M in his upcoming fight against the fighting congressman from Sarangani, Philippines. After reading the report; some observers took to their social media accounts and expressed their concerns for the fighting congressman, according to them, Chris Algieri is really a big threat for him and he might lose his title against his younger opponent if he will join the PBA.

You read it right folks; the fighting congressman will be seen not only in the boxing ring fighting against his opponent in Las Vegas or even in Macau, but also in the hard court. A report said he is set to follow the footstep of the legendary Robert “Sonny” Jaworski when the 40th season of the Philippine Basketball Association opens. You guys heard that Manny Pacquiao will take the seat of a player/coach in the expansion team of KIA Motors.

Some observers claim that joining KIA Motors as player/coach in the upcoming season of Asia’s first pay for play league will only give Manny Pacquiao a headache. Aside from that; they also added that the PacMan might lose his focus in boxing when he takes the seat of a player/coach in the PBA. Obviously, the fans are disappointed because of his decision, but if you know the PacMan very well, you will surely say his decision to accept the coaching stint in the PBA will not affect his training in his upcoming fight against Chris Algieri because of his good attitude.
