The unanimous decision at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada - which returned the honors for Pacquiao - avenged a split decision defeat Pac encountered via Bradley two years ago. In June 2012, Pacquiao was expected to defeat Bradley, but the judges ruled against him then. Saturday night, things were quite different.

After an impressive performance, Pacquiao and a great show by both boxers for the pro-Pacquiao-crowd, the judges scored the bout 118-110, 116-112, and 116-112 for the return champ.

The fight turned out to be the eighth straight for Pacquiao ending in a decision by the judges in the house rather than a knockout. In this particular showing, Pac had very strong closing rounds, as determined by the judges’ scores in the last half of the match.

After the victory, Pacquiao said that he knew he had to do more in this fight than he had done in the last fight. And he did.

Pacquiao received $20 million for Saturday night’s fight, some 80 percent of what he received for the match he lost in June or 2012. All told, the boxer who turned professional 19 years ago has garnered in excess of $300 million.

Cheering on the sidelines, such name-celebrities as three-time Academy Award-winning actor Jack Nicholson, rapper 50 Cent, and comedic actor Will Ferrell were present.
