As part of the press tour, the fighters took part in a media Q&A session early in the day with fans in attendance. In that early media session, both Pacquiao and Algieri stated that they were excited and ready for the fight. Fans were asking Pacquiao questions about Mayweather, which were quickly answered by diverting the attention back to the Filipino fighter’s fight with Algieri.

Later, both fighters had a friendly hitting contest, followed by another private fan Q&A session. Finally, Pacquiao and Algieri threw out the ceremonial first pitch to kick off tonight’s San Francisco Giants game against the Milwaukee Brewers.

With the current promotional tour beginning in Macau on August 25, the fighters seemed a little subdued and, possibly (understandably) tired after a long day. When asked about the schedule, Algieri simply said, “I’m used to it.”

The fighters will travel to Las Vegas for an appearance at the Venetian on the August 30. On Sept. 1, Pacquiao will throw out the first pitch at the Los Angeles Dodgers and Washington National game in LA, followed by a news conference on Sept. 3 at the Hyatt Regency Century Plaza. Finally, on Sept. 4, the fighters will make their way to New York for various appearances, including a stop at the New York Stock Exchange.
