Mankato's 3rd Annual Post Holiday Extravaganza

This weekend is Mankato's 3rd Annual Post-Holiday Extravaganza Weekend. This year the money will be going to Eric Barnes (AKA Edgar Burn) to support him and his family through his cancer treatments as a thank you for the things he has done for the Mankato community.

It all comes back to music, art, friends, and community. This year will be a multi-faceted event that will provide much needed fun, including plenty to stare at, stuff our faces with and rock out to, as well as help a family that's gone above and beyond for the community.

Friday night kicks off the weekend with a show at the What's Up Lounge, featuring The Tombstone Trio, Forever Dumb, Daggertongue, Captain Eleven, and The Sold Outs. The show starts at 8pm and costs $10, or $15 if you attend both nights.

Saturday's events will start at 12 pm, beginning with a benefit spaghetti luncheon, prize raffle, kids' activities, and live music! There will be acoustic performances by Scott Greve, 23 (Dan Forslin), Monty Miller, Ocho, and Dave Begalka.

Also starting at 12pm Saturday (at the 410 Gallery ) will be an art exhibit and sale featuring works and baked goods for sale by local artists and bakers.

To close the weekend, another show will take place 8pm at the What's Up Lounge. It will feature DJ Shoba, In Defence, The Rockford Mules, Old Towne Ghosts, and LUNGS.

Go support a good cause and have a great weekend.
