Manicure Monday: Spring stripes nail art

If you want a cute, spring manicure with nail art designs, a striped nail look is a good option. If you use nail polish colors that stay in the spring theme, you can easily create a spring appropriate, striped manicure.

You will need two nail polishes, light pastels or a mix of neon and lighter shades tend to create the most spring appropriate looks. You will also need a striper nail art bush, a clear nail polish and embellishments like rhinestones (if you choose to use them).

To begin, use the base color of your choice and paint your nails with one or two coats of polish.

Next, use your second nail polish color and a striper brush to create thin, vertical lines on your nails. Start from the cuticle area of your nail and gently wipe the brush directly across to create straight lines. You should be able to make 3 or 4 stripes per nail.

Use clear nail polish as an adhesive to glue on any embellishments wherever you want them to be located on your nail.

Finally, seal your striped, spring manicure with a coat of clear nail polish.
