On Feb. 7, 2013, police continue to search for suspected murderer and former Los Angeles police officer Christopher Dorner. The Press-Enterprise reports that authorities are currently conducting a car-to-car search in the Big Bear area of California.
Earlier in the day, a truck believed to be Dorner’s was found burning on the side of Bear Mountain, reports Yahoo News.

Dorner is suspected of killing a police officer in Riverside on Thursday when after encountering a police cruiser.
According to Yahoo, after Dorner allegedly exchanged gunfire with the LAPD in Corona, upon fleeing, he came upon a police car at a red light. He shot at the cruiser with a rifle, killing one officer and injuring another.
He is also accused of murdering women’s college basketball coach Monica Quan and her fiancé Keith Lawrence on Feb. 3 as they sat in Lawrence's white Kia in the parking lot of their Irvine condo complex.
Yahoo reports that Dorner posted a manifesto online that threatened at least 12 people and their families. In it, he blames Quan’s father—retired LAPD Capt. Randy Quan—for his termination from the LAPD.
He was fired for making false statements after his stint with the department from 2005 to 2008.
LAPD Capt. William Hayes told the Associated Press that Randy Quan, who became an attorney after he retired from police work, represented Dorner when he appeared before the Board of Rights that ultimately ruled against him.
Yahoo reports that according to court documents, Dorner was terminated from the force after he complained that his field-training officer had kicked a mentally ill suspect during an arrest.
Dorner’s manifesto reads in part, “Your lack of ethics and conspiring to wrong a just individual are over. Suppressing the truth will leave to deadly consequences for you and your family.”
He also wrote, “I will bring unconventional and asymmetrical warfare to those in LAPD uniform whether on or off duty.”
To those he planned to exact revenge on, Dorner wrote, “I never had the opportunity to have a family of my own… I’m terminating yours.”
Donner just completed his military career as a lieutenant in the Navy Reserves on Feb. 1. He served in Bahrain and received a Rifle Marksman Ribbon and Pistol Expert Medal, according to Yahoo.
Dorner is described by the LAPD as black, 6-feet tall, and about 270 pounds with black hair and brown eyes.
