Toronto-based, ManCrunch.com is a gay men dating service who is trying to buy 30-seconds of commercial time during the Super Bowl. ManCrunch.com is a new dating service who wants to come out with a real bang, said Dominic Friesen, a spokesperson for the website. See the video of the commercial below.
“We thought 90 million men watch the Super Bowl and we target men,” Friesen said and the Star reported. “Why don’t we get the most bang for our buck?” he said.
The commercial shows two men watching a football from home and cheering. They both reach for potato chips at the same time and their hands touch, and they look into each other’s eyes, and embrace and kiss. As the camera pulls out a third person in the room is looking on in shock.
The ManCrunch website just started this month and they are trying to promote the site.
”Three million dollars for a 30-second commercial and 90 million viewers,” Friesen said. “It’s simply dollars and cents for us.”
CBS said that “the spot hadn’t been officially approved yet” by the network and that “all Super Bowl spots were sold out.”
The net buzz on this commercial is hot because people love a controversy.
