March 29, Manchester United announced that they will play five matches in the United States in July, 2011, and compete in CAA Sports' World Football Challenge.
Manchester United will face MLS teams New England Revolution and Chicago Fire in World Football Challenge on July 13 and July 23, respectively. Man U will again versus the MLS All-Stars on July 27 and compete in a friendly against the Seattle Sounders on July 20.

On their 2010 U.S. tour, Manchester United faced MLS All-Stars, Celtic FC, Philadelphia Union, and were defeated by a 10-man Kansas City Wizards.
Man U, managed by Sir Alex Ferguson since 1986, have won 11 English Premiership titles and three European Championships. Current luminaries include Wayne Rooney, Chicarito (Javier Hernandez), Rio Ferdinand, Nani, and Dimitar Berbatov.
