Manchester United opposes Revolution in World Football Challenge

March 29, MLS and CAA Sports announced that Manchester United and the New England Revolution will face each other in 2011 World Football Challenge on Wednesday, July 13 at 8 p.m. at Gillette Stadium

Also revealed was that FC Barcelona and the Chicago Fire will compete in the tournament. The Revolution and the Fire will each play only one match in World Football Challenge.

Wed, July 20, 10 p.m. - Seattle Sounders-Man U (friendly)
Sat, July 23 - Chicago Fire- Man U (WFC)
Sat, July 27 - MLS All-Stars vs. Man U
Sat, July 30 - Man U-Barcelona (FedExField, MD) (WFC)

AC Milan vs. Chelsea drew a 71k sellout crowd in Baltimore
Chelsea vs. Inter Milan drew 81k in Pasadena
AC Milan vs. Club America drew 51k in Atlanta
Club America vs. Inter Milan drew 32k in Palo Alto
Club America vs. Chelsea drew 57,229 in Arlington, Texas
AC Milan vs. Inter drew 42,531 in Foxboro.

New and current Revolution season ticket holders will have the opportunity to purchase tickets starting on Monday, April 4. Multiple-game packages, including the Manchester United match, will go on sale to the public on Tuesday, April 12 and individual tickets to the match, which start at $50, will go on sale to the public on Saturday, April 23.
