Police say an investigation Wednesday evening determined that an arson at Central Little League, located at 380 Lincoln Street, was caused by Terahja Williams, 17, of 50 English Village Road.
Officers responded to Central Little League at about 7:15 p.m. for a report of a fire in the playground equipment. Upon arrival, officers met with members of the Manchester Fire Department and a fire investigator. A plastic pipe connecting two slides had been destroyed by a fire, which also damaged the attached slides. The cause of the fire was determined to be arson. The estimated damage to the equipment was $3,000 to $4,000.
The investigation revealed that Terahja Williams was responsible for the arson. Williams was located at Adventure Park on Union Street and arrested without incident.
