Manchester Police arrest robbery suspect

Manchester Police arrested a man on the night of Monday, Feb. 24, 2014 for an armed robbery that occurred on the night of October 17, 2013, according to a Tuesday, Feb. 25, 2014 press release by Manchester Police.

Angelo Kapos, 35, of Candia, NH is charged with Robbery, police said.

The release stated that on October 17th, 2013, the clerk at the Mobile on the Run gas station on Elm Street was robbed at gunpoint. At the time, the clerk gave police a description of a suspect and stated he was armed with a handgun when he left the store with cash.

A day later, October 18th, 2013, the 7-11 store on Bridge Street was robbed and a suspect was arrested on the scene. Officers arrested Angelo Kapos for the 7-11 store robbery, but were unable to charge him at the time for the Mobile on the Run robbery.

Since then, Detective Brian O’Leary has conducted a follow-up investigation and has determined Kapos, was in fact responsible for the gunpoint robbery of the Mobile on the Run gas station on October 17th, 2013. On Feb. 24, 2014 Kapos was arrested and was scheduled to be arraigned on Feb. 25, 2014.
