A man and a woman were killed in a double shooting early Sunday morning in southeast Atlanta. And police said they don’t know who shot the couple or why.

The investigation began shortly after 3 a.m. when officers responded to 900 Conley Road after getting a report of a person shot, according to Atlanta police.

When they arrived they found two bodies, police spokesman Officer John Chafee said.

“Upon arrival the male victim was found shot to death inside of the apartment,” Officer Chafee said. “The female victim was found shot outside of the apartment. She was transported to Grady Hospital, where she later died.”

The Fulton County Medical Examiner’s Office has identified them as Mr. Johnnie Jackson, 23, and Ms. Alina Schiavo, 24, of Atlanta.

So far, police have not found any witnesses to the shootings and they are still trying to determine the circumstances surrounding what happened.

They also have not released any details on the relationship between the man and woman found dead.
