A domestic dispute is believed to have led to the deaths of two people in New Orleans East this morning. A man was found dead inside of a burning garage in New Orleans East and NOPD later found his wife dead of stab wounds in a home down the street. At 6:51 a.m., the New Orleans Fire Department responded to a call about a fire at 11110 Parkwood Court. When they arrived, they found a single family home with smoke and fire coming from the garage, where the body of a forty-nine year old male was located beside a vehicle.
A few minutes later, NOPD was notified that the man’s wife was injured inside their property in the 11300 block of North Parkwood Court. Upon arrival, they found the forty-two year old woman dead of apparent stab wounds.
Names of those involved have not yet been released.
