A wheelchair-bound man was arrested on Wednesday evening after biting bar patrons and injuring a police officer.

According to the Colorado Springs Police Department, officers responded to a bar on S. Circle Dr. at approximately 6:09 PM due to a report of a reportedly intoxicated man who was picking fights and biting people. When the officers made contact with the man, identified as 27-year-old Antonio Rodriguez, they found him to be very aggressive. Rodriguez lunged out of his wheelchair at the officers, the department reported, causing an injury to the hand of one of the officers.

Rodriguez was arrested and charged with Disorderly Conduct and Assault on a Peace Officer. According to inmate information provided by the El Paso County Sheriff's Department, Rodriguez is scheduled to appear in court on the charges on December 12.
