Halloween 2013 is a holiday some Naperville men will likely want to forget but never ever will. Out for a good time on Saturday night and into the wee hours on Sunday morning, a group of guys were getting rowdy outside a bar in the center of the downtown business district in Naperville. The bar, located near the intersection of Washington Street and Jefferson Street attracted the attention of the local police, according to a Chicago Tribune report on Thursday.
One group of people was arguing with another group of people when 25-year-old Andres Lopez and his group of friends apparently didn’t realize that some police officers had entered the area. While a police officer was intervening with the altercation between the two groups, Lopez punched the officer – thinking he was just a guy in a Halloween costume for the night.
Besides Lopez being charged during the rowdy outing, three other men were charged and face a host of charges which include resisting a peace officer and, of course, battery and fighting.
Naperville is located about 35 miles directly west of Chicago.
