A man was shot multiple times Sunday afternoon near a fire station in southwest Atlanta – and police are still trying to determine who shot him and why.
The shooting happened around 1 p.m. in the 1200 block of Lee Street, according to Atlanta police.
The man, whose name and age have not been released, was shot in the arm and leg, police spokesman Officer John Chafee said. He did not provide any details on the severity of the man's wounds.
So far, police have not released any details on the circumstances of the shooting. It’s also unclear how many shot were fired and whether or not there were any witnesses to the shooting.
The man was able to get to Fire Station No. 14, where someone called 911, according to The Atlanta Journal-Constitution. He was transported by ambulance to Grady Memorial Hospital.
His condition was unknown late Sunday. The shooting remains under investigation, police said.
So far, there is no available description of a suspect.
