A 34-year-old man was rushed to the hospital in critical condition Monday after he entered a Citgo gas station in DeKalb County asking for help.
So far, police have no suspect in the shooting, but they believe the man may have been carjacked.
Around 3 a.m., a man entered the Citgo gas station at 2630 Gresham Road asking for help because he had been shot, according to DeKalb County police.
“Officers responded and found a 34 year old male suffering from a gunshot wound,” police spokeswoman Ms. Mekka Parish said. “The victim reported that his 2003 tan Chevy Trailblazer was taken by his attacker(s) but could not provide a description of the suspect(s) at the time. “
The victim, whose name has not been released, was transported to a local hospital where he was immediately taken into surgery.
His condition was not readily available late Monday. Police did not release any details on how many times he was shot or where in the body he was hit.
