Greenbelt, Md. --- A man was discovered shot outside a city recreation center just before 11 p.m. Friday, and he was later pronounced dead at Prince George's Trauma Center.
Police found the victim in the area of the Franklin Park at Greenbelt Station apartments and the Springhill Lake Recreation Center at 6101 Cherrywood Lane. This is near the Greenbelt Metro Station.
The victim – later identified by police as 24-year-old Michael Valentine Randall of Washington, D.C. -- was in cardiac arrest when paramedics took him to the trauma center.
Police sealed off the apartment complex while officers searched for the suspect using a police dog and helicopter.
MPO Kelly Lawson, police spokeswoman, said early Saturday that police are trying to piece together what happened.
She asks anyone with information to contact the Greenbelt police Criminal Investigations Unit at 240-542-2133.

I hope this victim shot will survive, so he can give the police a discription of those/the Bastard respsonsible for shooting him. That will be one less animal off our streets.
For what ever reason this shooting took a man's life, no man, has the right, to kill another life, no matter how angry he or she becomes. Yeap, here I go again, You will reap what you sow, and it also reads in the Bible, he who kill, shall be killed, and O one more, it also reads, (something to the effect of) shedding a man's blood, so your blood will be shed, so keep looking over your back, your pay day from God is coming. As I've mentioned in my other replies, God is a God of love, and forgivness, but he is also a revengful God and the person responsible for this shooting, will see. It's too bad he died. I feel very sorry for the family he left behind.

This time of year, is ESPECIALLY hard for the friends and family of this loved one. I'm just so sorry, the ass holes have not been caught YET,but they can't keep hiding forever. It may take years but justice will pervail. Every road has an end so they can keep running , but cowards road will end and when it does, they will deserve every bad thing in their life they deserve for taking this man's life. It's so difficult to go through the healing channels because of how this loved one died. It's going to be a tough road to healing. I didn't know Mike, but I'm so sorry he's gone from this earth so soon. I pray that all the friends and family of this loved one, (Mike) will be surrounded by loyal, and good liseners who will walk you through your tunnel to healing. I remember the story, (true story) years ago was on TV about a 4'5 inch women taking a short cut on her way home from the food market. She ran into 12 men, whom beat her, raped her, ramped a pole or broomstick up her rectum and it killed her. That thing hurt me for so many years because that could have been my grandmother. BUT, ONE DAY, AND I'M HAPPY TO SAY, ALL THOSE BASTARDS RESPONSIBLE FOR THIS WOMEN'S DEATH, ALL DIED ONE BY ONE BY PRISON INMATES, OR SOMEONE GOING TO THE HOME OF THESE CRIMINALS AND TAKING MATTERS INTO THEIR OWN HANDS AND YOU KNOW WHAT I SAY TO THAT, GOOD!!!!!. I can share many stories about criminals who was punished not by the hands of the police, but the victim/s associates, etc who made sure justice was done. I"m not some preacher or something, but I feel for people who have lost loved ones to violence.
