23 year old Jorge Perez accidentally shot himself in the groin with his own flare gun. According to the Huffington Post, he forgot the gun was loaded when he shot it to the ground. It then ricocheted off the ground up into his genitals and caused many burns and cuts.
Apparently, Mr. Perez is not the only one who has done this before. A Michigan man apparently shot off part of his penis with fireworks last Fourth of July.
Another case of a man shooting himself in the groin is a man from Trinidad. Police found him slumped over his steering wheel and realized he was bleeding from his penis. Apparently, the 33 year old had a .38 caliber in his front pocket and ended up shooting off his penis. They took him to the hospital but no one knows if medical staff was able to reattach his penis. This man is facing charges for having an unregistered gun on him.
People, be careful with guns. Make sure they are either unloaded or the safety is on.
