There is continuous controversy on homosexuality within our culture. Proposition 8, Don’t Ask Don’t Tell and gay rights continuously receive media coverage and great concern. There are ongoing control battles between the Liberals and the Conservatives. Where is God in the controversy? God seems to be portrayed from a perspective of hate rather than love. The Evangelical Christian perspective predominately portrayed by the media and unChrist like thinking is radical hatred. This is the first of five (the number for grace) articles that will examine what the Bible says. These articles are not to judge or condone any behaviors they simply examine God’s view according to His word.
1 Corinthians 6: 9 -10
Know ye not that the unrighteous shall not inherit the kingdom of God? Be not deceived: neither fornicators, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor effeminate, nor abusers of themselves with mankind 10 Nor thieves, nor covetous, nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor extortioners, shall inherit the kingdom of God.

The word effeminate used in the KJV is malakos it means 1) soft, soft to the touch 2) metaph. in a bad sense a) effeminate 1) of a catamite 2) of a boy kept for homosexual relations with a man 3) of a male who submits his body to unnatural lewdness 4) of a male prostitute
This scripture verse begins with the unrighteous adikosnot entering heaven. The definition for adikos is1) descriptive of one who violates or has violated justice a) unjust b) unrighteous, sinful c) of one who deals fraudulently with others, deceitful
Unjust is with all the behaviors mentioned effeminate should be the focus. By creating a law saying what a person can or cannot do between two consenting adults violates our God given right to choose. As Believers in the Bible, our responsibility is to make sure Believers are aware of what the bible says. Matthew 7:1 says Judge not, that ye be not judged. Part 2 will examine 1John 4:16
Should we as Believers live by laws of man or relationship with God?
