Man's body found under I-93 overpass in Boston: Police report possible homicide

A body was discovered Monday morning under the I-93 overpass off Albany St., which is an area known for the homeless and skateboarders to frequent. According to the Massachusetts State Police news release, they have roped off the area and treating the investigation as a possible homicide, as reported by the Boston Herald on Monday, Feb. 25, 2013.

Channel 7 News out of Boston reports the body is that of a male and he is not believed to be a homeless person. The reason the investigation is called a “possible homicide” is because the man’s injuries are not conducive with injuries he could have caused himself.

Officials said the man was killed, but will not say how the man died. They are still trying to piece together if the man was killed on scene or if he was killed elsewhere and the body was dumped under the overpass bridge.

A Channel 7 News source said that the man has been “tentatively identified” but his family has not been notified of his death yet. The source also said the wound was to the man’s stomach.
