How far would you go to get your favorite cigar? Well one costumer wanted his cigar so bad he took things to an extreme - and the results were not pretty.
According to a KCAL 9 News report on Sept. 30, Lakewood, California CCTV caught the moment a tall, heavyset man brutally punched a small, 23-year-old female clerk in the face. His reason for his fit of rage of course was very legitimate (sarcasm, of course). The man was forty-one cents short to purchase his $1.41 cigar at the gas station.
The clerk refused to sell him the cigar because he only had only $1. Makes sense, right? Well the consumer's reaction wasn't to put up the additional forty-one cents, but to punch the female clerk right in the face.
What on Earth is going on nowadays?
Mr. Conservative reported:
The clerk, identified only as Yadira, said that she objected when the man tried to short change her. His response was, “This is all I have . . . bitch, whatever.” Because he couldn’t pay, she handed him back his dollar and pulled the cigar away from the counter. He responded by trying to snatch the cigar from her and, when that failed, punched her right in the face.
This horrific incident took place in Lakewood, Calif., on Sept. 7. Thankfully the clerk is okay, however she is now afraid to go back to work, and who could blame her?
"There's cowards out there willing to do stupid stuff," she told CBS. "It just happened so fast … I didn't think he was going to hit me."
If you have any information on this incident, KCAL has reported anyone with information should call Lakewood LA detectives.
