Man proposes at Lady Antebellum meet and greet

Lady Antebellum got quite the surprise when a fan who showed up for a meet and greet on January 25 in Bozeman, Montana, carried out an unexpected wedding proposal. Lady Antebellum posted a video of the happy couple on their January 29 Webisode Wednesday segment.

The couple then got the thrill of a lifetime, an offer of a live performance by Lady Antebellum, so they could share their first dance as an engaged couple. In the video, Charles Kelley can be heard offering to sing “Golden,” but the couple chose “When You Got A Good Thing” from Lady A’s GRAMMY winning album “Need You Now.”

In a hilarious moment, halfway through the serenade, Charles Kelley wrapped his arms around the couple and attempted to dance with them. A hundred or so onlookers laughed and the couple was all smiles as Charles Kelley broke away and continued singing alongside Hillary Scott and Dave Haywood.

As the trio’s song faded out, Charles Kelley exclaimed, “group hug!” to which the couple happily obliged. With cheers and applause all around, it was surely a night the future married couple will look back on and tell the story of again and again.
