Man previously shot ten times throughout his life is shot dead

A man was fatally shot after he allegedly tried to force his way into a home. Darryl Turner, 29, was shot by a homeowner who stated that Turner and two other men tried to forcefully enter his home. The two other men fled in an automobile after the shooting began. Turner was found dead by police in front of a two-story home in the 5800 block of South Shields Avenue. Turner’s family stated to local news media outlets that the deceased throughout his life had been wounded at least ten times by gunfire. Police have not charged the homeowner who claimed self-defense.
