Man pees in co-workers coffee, gets jail time and fine

A man was fined $5,000 after he urinated in his co-worker's coffee -- five years ago. According to a video report by GeoBeats, James Carroll Butler has been ordered to pay $5,000 to his co-worker. Fortunately, the man didn't drink the urine-infused coffee because he noticed that the coffee pot smelled strange.

The intended target told a supervisor about the coffee and the liquid was sent out to a lab for testing. Not only did the results test positive for urine, but traces of fecal matter also showed up. Butler didn't admit to the act at first, but later he explained that he urinated in a toilet and then scooped some out using a soda can and added it to the coffee.

Butler wrote an apologetic letter and said that he was ashamed but he still was punished for his actions. He was sentenced to one year in jail on top of the fines which were ordered more recently.
