A man featured on the Roanoke Police Department's most wanted list has been arrested in Cedartown, Georgia.
Rodney Scott Blankenship, age 28, of was arrested at a residence on Friendly Baptist Church Road in Cedartown on Monday, February 13, 2012 by Polk County Sheriff's deputies on a warrant out of Roanoke, Virginia. Blankenship is wanted in Virginia for revocation of a suspended sentence.
Blankenship was also arrested on Monday, January 09, 2012 in Polk County and charged with simple battery under the Family Violence Act (FVA) and third degree cruelty to children under the Family Violence Act (FVA). He was released from custody on January 12, 2012 after bonding out on a $2100 property bond.
The bonding company came off of his bond on the above charges after learning of his outstanding warrants out of Virginia. Blankenship will be held for Virginia authorities once the $2100 property bond has been met.
