According to ComicBook.com on Feb 13, rumors have been going around of a “Man of Steel” trilogy being a possibility. Amy Adams said she’d be delighted for a sequel to the movie, considering she’s a major fan herself. Also, there are talks of a new “Batman” movie that will precede the “Justice League” film.
It appears that all these DC comic book related movies are being spaced apart strategically through the following years in order to lay groundwork for the “Justice League”. For instance, rumors about the “Justice League’s” opening day have been pushed to 2021.
Also, the Superman and Justice League franchise could have quite an influence on how the Batman reboot will commence. With the great feedback by fans’ reaction to the “Man of Steel” trailer, it could stand to reason that it could be a hit. If it is successful, this achievement could determine the fate of it being a trilogy, especially with the delay of “Justice League”.
There are also suggestive comments going around about the “Batman” reboot occurring after the third “Man of Steel” movie.
The real ace in the hole that could attract fans to “Man of Steel” is the fact that Christopher Nolan is working with Zack Snyder in producing the movie. That would motivate fans of the “Dark Knight” trilogy to gravitate to “Man of Steel” in a similar fashion.
It appears that the studios are even using crews as a marketing technique to attract audience patrons by tying them with others who worked on corresponding DC comic book related films. People could actually see the DC franchise having great potential by staffing the appropriate film makers.
