Man murdered by atomic wedgie

A 58-year old Oklahoma man was found dead in his home, the apparent victim of an “atomic wedgie,” during a drunken brawl.

According to Pottawatomie County Court Clerk Shelly Dixon, Brad Lee Davis, 33, attacked his stepfather, Denver St. Clair, after the older man badmouthed his mom, and ended up pulling his underwear up over his head, strangling him with the waistband and delivering blunt force trauma to his head.

In a 10-page affidavit Davis admitted to detectives that “ St. Clair had tackled him in the kitchen on December 21, and hit him in the face a number of times before he could regain his footing. He then stated that he yanked St. Clair’s underwear up over his head, and called police after he noticed that the older man was unconscious. Detectives later told KOKH-TV that they found “Davis was standing over St. Clair and smoking a cigarette,” however, they were forced to wait before arresting the younger man on first-degree murder charges until the coroner examined the body.

"We've spoken with several investigators about the crime scene and if they've ever experienced anything like this," Detective Jimmy Brewer of the Sheriff's Office told the station, "and no one has."
Davis currently remains behind bars without bail until his next court appearance on January 22nd.
