A man kills a TV host, beats his wife, and then kills himself in Montana. On March 8, the Lansing State Journal reported that 41-year-old Wayne Bengston lost it when he found his wife with TV host, Gregory G. Rodriguez (though it's not clear if the two has a "secret relationship"). The two had been at the woman's mother's house when Bengston showed up.
He shot Rodriguez and then beat his wife before taking the couple's 2-year-old to the home a family member nearby. According to the report, Bengston drove himself to his home in West Glacier and shot himself.
The man kills the TV host first, making many believe that there was some sort of affair going on. The condition of the man's wife is unknown, but she will more than likely cooperate with police in order to piece this puzzle together. If she was indeed having an affair with Rodriguez, that would explain Bengston's violent actions.
Rodriguez was from Sugar Land, Texas. He was the host of a Sportsman Channel show called "A Rifleman’s Journal." He was also the CEO of Global Adventure Outfitters. If there was a romantic relationship between Rodriguez and Bengston's wife, it may have been going on for a while and this may have been premeditated murder. Surely Bengston didn't randomly show up with a gun for no reason, right?
After the man kills the TV host and himself, it leaves many questions. An investigation is ongoing.
