A man in his 20s was found shot to death at an apartment complex in DeKalb County early Tuesday morning.
So far, the DeKalb County Medical Examiner’s Office said they have not been able to verify the man’s identity. And police said they have not identified a suspect, but added they are following up on some strong leads.
Officers responded to the apartment complex at 4917 Central Drive around 12:25 a.m. after getting a report of a person shot, according to DeKalb County police.
“When officers arrived they found a 21-year-old male with gunshot wounds to the chest,” police spokesman Capt. Steven Fore said.
The man was found in the parking lot outside one of the buildings at the complex and was transported to Grady Memorial Hospital, Capt. Fore said.
He was pronounced dead around 1:45 a.m., the medical examiner’s office said.
Police said they don’t know the motive or the circumstances surrounding the shooting. And it’s unclear if there were any witnesses.
