A father in China hired a hitman to go after his son – inside a video game. According to a Jan. 3 Huffington Post report, the man, identified as Mr. Feng, was fed up with his son’s constant video gaming.
He was frustrated that his 23-year-old son quit his job at a software development company after only three months, stating that he was simply unhappy with the work. Feng became concerned that his son was spending all of his time playing video games instead of looking for a new job and decided to take matters into his own hands.
Feng sought out master game players who were stronger than his son’s avatar. He hired several of these players to assassinate his son’s character inside of the game. Each time the young man logged on to play, his avatar was immediately killed.
The player was surprised and upset at first. Then he became suspicious. It didn’t take long to learn of his father’s plot.
He claims his father overreacted and is exaggerating how often he plays video games.
