Today, NBC News reported that the man who allegedly framed Curtis, James Everett Dutschke, 42, will have a change-of-plea hearing at 1:30 CDT. He originally pleaded not guilty. Dutschke is accused of sending ricin-laced letters to President Obama, Sen. Roger Wicker, R-Miss., and Judge Sadie Holland. The letters ended with, "I am KC and I approve this message." Which is how Curtis signed his online posts and led authorities to originally believe that he was the man responsible.
In November, Dutschke was also accused of trying to get someone else to send out more ricin-laced letters. He faces a possible life sentence if convicted.
