Man found with multiple gunshot wounds in front of Suwanee home

A man was found with multiple gunshot wounds in front of a Suwanee home, but managed to survive, police said Friday.

So far, police have not released the name of the man nor have they been able to identify his shooter. It was also unclear what prompted the shooting, which happened shortly after 8 p.m. Thursday.

Around 8:15 p.m., officers responded to Hunt River Way after a report of a person shot, according to Gwinnett County police.

“When the initial responding officer arrived on the scene, he located a 35-year old male who was shot multiple times in front of the home,” police spokesman Cpl. Jake Smith said. “The shooting may be a result of an argument between the persons involved.

Gwinnett County firefighters arrived and transported the man to Gwinnett Medical Center with non-life threatening injuries, Cpl. Smith said.

The suspect fled the scene in a dark-colored SUV, he said. Police are still looking for the vehicle and suspect.

The man's condition was not know Saturday.
