Man found shot to death inside Smyrna home, police believe he was targeted

A man was shot to death overnight in his Smyrna home, and police believe the 48-year-old was targeted.

On Monday, they were still trying to determine who killed the man though investigators said they believe the shooting may have been drug-related.

So far, police have released few details on the circumstances of the shooting. And it was unclear how the killer entered the home.

It was also unclear who called police at 10:18 p.m. Sunday to report the shooting at 2145 Kennesaw Way.

When officers arrived they found Mr. Kenneth Anderson dead of a gunshot wound inside his home, Smyrna police spokesman Officer Michael Smith said.

“The shooting does not appear to be random as it appears to be drug-related,” Officer Smith said.

Police have not released any details on where the man was shot; or whether there was anyone else inside the home.
