Man Finds Banana Autographed by Jose Canseco in Trash

Norfolk, Wisconsin - Buddy Wilkinton is a man who likes to dig for treasures. In 1997, while digging in the garbage outside of a sports complex he found a used ring pop signed by Madonna. Then in 2008, while walking along a local river he discovered a treasure chest filled with extremely rare signed photos of Lance Armstrong being truthful, the only known ones in existence. More recently, while attending a celebrity boxing event, Wilkinton discovered a banana signed by Jose Canseco. "I don't know much about history, but I can definitely tell you that this is the greatest discovery the world of trashcan digging has ever known!" An ecstatic Wilkinton uttered while taking a bite out of an albacore tuna sandwich that was adjacent to the banana. "Canseco was a great, trustworthy player who needs no introduction." Added Wilkinton. Although the initial estimates value the signed banana at $0.50, Wilkinton remains optimistic and plans on freezing the banana to ensure its’ longevity. Swedish Sportsologist, Ross T. Fellheimer, who has been studying unusual autographs for almost 30 years added "The fact that the banana was signed by Canseco clearly adds a historical and revolutionary element never before seen by mankind. To think that man has gone from creating the automobile to landing on the moon to signing the world's greatest gift, fruit, is simply mind-blowing!” Wilkinton said that the find is so amazing that he has decided to retire from treasure hunting, but hopes that the story will inspire others to continue digging.
