A man exposed himself to an Athens teen Tuesday night in the parking lot of a health center. And police on Wednesday were searching for the man who covered his face during the act.

The incident happened around 8:20 p.m. at the East Athens Community Center at 400 McKinley Drive, according to Athens-Clarke County police.

The 18-year-old told police she was walking through the parking lot of the health center when she saw a man talking on his cell phone, police spokeswoman Ms. Hilda Sorrow said.

“After she passed him, he called out to her,” Ms. Sorrow said. “She turned around and he was exposing himself. She ran to the community center and an employee called the police.”

Police were not able to obtain a detailed description of the suspect, who was wearing a black hoodie, black jacket, blue jeans, and white shoes.

“He covered his face with his hand,” Ms. Sorrow said.

Still, anyone with information on the suspect or who may have witnessed the incident is asked to call the police department.
