Man exposed, fondled himself in front of girl, 10, in broad daylight in Columbia

Police are on the hunt for a man who exposed and fondled himself in front of a 10-year-old girl in broad daylight in Columbia.

So far, police have not been able to identify the man and they weren’t able to provide a detailed description of the suspect.

The incident happened about 2 p.m. Sunday in the 1500 block of Main Street, according to Columbia police.

It’s unclear what the girl and her dad were doing when the man exposed himself, but police said the dad chased the man to the 1100 block of Taylor Street before losing him.

The girl was not physically harmed in the incident, police spokeswoman Ms. Jennifer Timmons said.

The incident is the second one to happen in Columbia in less than a week.

Officers are also searching for a man who exposed and fondled himself in front of a woman who was loading her car in the Wal-Mart parking lot on Harbison Boulevard last week.
