Police are searching for a man who robbed a PNC Bank in northeast Atlanta Wednesday afternoon.
No one was injured in the robbery, which happened about 2:40 p.m. at the branch at 2450 Piedmont Road, according to Atlanta police
And investigators have released a surveillance photo of the suspect, hoping someone will recognize and help identify him.
Investigators said the suspect passed a note to the teller demanding $5000 in cash.
After receiving more than $3000 in cash, he fled the location on foot and was last seen heading north on Piedmont Road, police spokesman Officer John Chafee said.
He is described as a white male in his late 30’s to early 40’s and weighing about 160 pounds. The man, who is 5 feet, 7 inches to 5 feet, 8 inches tall, was wearing a red sweat shirt, light color blue jeans and a dark skull cap.
