On Thursday a Texan man intentionally flew a small plane into the Internal Revenue Service center located in Austin. This man, now deceased, was 53 years old, named Andrew Joseph Stack III, and felt his attack on the IRS was 'a long time coming'.
The CNN article does not mention Stack's religious affiliation, which of course means, he was not Muslim. Further, government officials are hesitant to call this incident a terrorist attack, stating that "this appears to be an intentional act by a sole individual".
The majority of Americans realize the erroneous nature of such thinking; Americans know better. If a person purposely crashes an aircraft into a federal building full of people, that is terrorism. Plain and simple. Terrorism is terrorism, is terrorism. Regardless of race, religion, or (lack of) group affiliations.
A non-Muslim, University of Michigan graduate pertinently tweeted yesterday, "White privilege: being able to crash a plane into a government building and not be labeled a terrorist".
It is unfortunate that CNN did not include the man's religion in their reporting of the incident. If they had, we could easily add an '-ist' to the end of his faith, to give it an ominous, and contrived, meaning.
Stack apparently left a suicide note online on a website registered under his name. In his rant he voiced his dislike for the government, and particularly, the IRS. He ended his tirade by plainly stating, "Sadly, though I spent my entire life trying to believe it wasn't so, but violence not only is the answer, it is the only answer."
Hmm, if it looks like a duck, walks like a duck, and quacks like a duck...it must be a swan?
Jones: Not a terrorist act, rather a criminal offense. See if his explanation makes much sense to you. How is your BS radar?

I don't know why I'm just now finding this on point article but the line I liked the best was, "The CNN article does not mention Stack's religious affiliation, which of course means, he was not Muslim." :)
