Man Charged With Stabbing Son In Neck

A father is arrested after he stabbed his son in the neck.

According to published documents, on Saturday around 9:30am Baltimore County Police responded to a home in the 600 block of Washington Avenue in Halethorpe where they found a 14 year old standing in the front yard with a large stab wound in his neck. The teen reported to police that he and his father, 50 year old Charles V. Palmer were in the attic looking at knives when suddenly he stabbed him in the neck. His father then dropped the knife and the boy picked it up and ran out of the house with it.

Charged with attempted first degree murder, first degree assault, first degree child abuse and related charges, Charles is being held without bail at the Baltimore County Detention Center.

The boy was taken to John Hopkin's Children's Center with non life threatening injuries and is expected to survive.
