Man Charged With Attacking Uncle With Rope

A man has been arrested and charged with attempted murder after he tried to strangle his uncle with a rope during a family argument.

According to published documents on Saturday around 7:30am officers from the Western District in Severn responded to 7922 Citadel Drive in Severn after receiving numerous 911 calls reporting that a man was attacking another man with a rope. When officers arrived they found 24 year old Jason Michael Everett and his 51 year old uncle in the front yard. Officers had to remove the rope from the victim's neck in order for him to breathe and he was rushed to Baltimore Washington Medical Center for non - life threatening injuries.

Jason was arrested and charged with attempted murder, assault, use of a deadly weapon and related charges. He is being held without bond at the Anne Arundel County Detention Center.
