Demetrius Morales, 23, is facing charges of attempted rape, forcible touching, and third-degree sexual abuse.

According to investigators, Morales offered to help the 21-year-old victim with her bags and then attempted to rape her in the stairwell as the two walked up to the street at the Bedford Avenue and Nostrand Avenue subway stop on the G train line.

The victim screamed and the suspect fled the scene, police said. The victim refused medical attention at the scene.
