A 21-year-old man who allegedly killed a man at CVS pharmacy and shot another in the groin area months earlier was arrested Thursday.
Mr. Jamad Wallace was charged with murder and aggravated assault for in the March 4 shooting at the pharmacy in Lawrenceville, according to Gwinnett County police.
And police said he was already on the run for a shooting that happened on Dec. 9.
Mr. Alex Delgado Ramos, 27, was shot during what police believe was a robbery that Sunday night, but died days later.
About 10 p.m. on March 4, officers responded to the shooting at the pharmacy at 1187 Grayson Hwy., police spokesman Cpl. Jake Smith said.
Officers found Mr. Ramos on the ground, suffering from a gunshot wound to the left side of his head, according to the police report.
Mr. Ramos was transported to a local hospital where he died the following Tuesday, Cpl. Smith said.
“The shooting seems to have taken place during the course of a robbery,” Cpl. Smith said.
Months earlier, police responded to a call of a person shot at a home in Lilburn where officers found the then 22-year-old lying in a yard on his back with no shirt, wailing about being shot just above his genitals.
The victim identified Mr. Wallace as the shooter and police believe it happened after an argument between the two. But it’s unclear why the two were arguing.
