A gang associate of Evan Ebel was arrested Friday in connection with the murder of Colorado prisons director Tom Clements, according to the Huffington Post Saturday.
James Lohr, 47, is believed to have been in contact with Ebel days before the killing of reform-minded Tom Clements on March 19 in Monument.
Clements was shot to death when he answered the front door of his home in an upscale neighborhood which includes long driveways and trees which would obscure the view of potential eyewitnesses.
Lohr is believed to be a member of the 211 Crew white supremacist gang along with Ebel, who was shot to death in Texas after fleeing Colorado.
Law enforcement believes Ebel was the killer of both Clements and pizza deliveryman Nathan Leon in Golden Colorado. Leon was also a fulltime employee for IBM who worked part-time for Domino's Pizza to support his family. His widow told Fox News she was not satisfied with an apology from the criminal justice system that released Ebel four years early from prison.
Connecting Ebel to the killings is a pizza delivery outfit found in the Cadillac he crashed in Decatur, Texas. Shell casings from a shootout he had with law enforcement officers in Texas also matched the shell casings found at Clements' home. Ebel perished in a hail of gunfire after he shot Montague County, Texas deputy sheriff James Boyd in the head.
Boyd miraculously survived the three messengers of death Ebel fired into him by the side of Highway 287.
Lohr has the words "Hard" and "Luck" tattooed where his eyebrows would be.
Lohr evaded arrest before Colorado Springs police arrested him after a foot chase that began after officers attempted to stop the car he was driving.
Lohr was handcuffed and escorted to jail based on felony evading charges and three other warrants pertaining to other cases.
Colorado authorities are also seeking Thomas Guolee for questioning in connection with the tragic death of Clements who was working to improve prison conditions when he was murdered by Ebel who had been paroled from prison in error.
Guolee also has warrants in regard to cases other than the Clements murder.
A woman is believed to have provided Ebel with the murder weapon.
