According to Monday's publication of Syracuse News, a man in Brockport, N.Y., is facing charges after a photo, showing a black Labrador retriever doing a "keg stand," was uploaded to Twitter .

Police became involved after the post by @SUNYPartyStory with the caption "Keg stands n Bits!" began circulating online on Sunday - a Brockport man by the name of Robert Yates was arrested and charged with torturing and injuring animals.

The dog in the photo appears to have the nozzle in his mouth, prompting concerns over his safety.

According to the Democrat and Chronicle, Yates is believed to be a senior at the College at Brockport.

The Brockport police issued a statement:

Through a joint investigation between the SUNY Brockport Police, the Brockport Police Department and the Sweden Dog Warden, it was learned that a dog was held upside down, and apparently forced to consume beer from a keg during a party that occurred on Saturday March 8, 2014 at a house located on Monroe Avenue in the village of Brockport,

The dog was taken into custody and appears to be okay following the disturbing incident; Yates is not believed to be the dog's owner.
